The announcement on 18 December that Customade Group had failed yet again was, I suspect, contrived to avoid in depth press attention, writes Editor Brian Shillibeer (we dig all the dirt on our News Pages). This is the Group that did a pre-pack in 2020 to avoid paying its bills. Then the industry declared en bloc an intention not to supply the ‘new’ Customade Group…and yet, guess what, Oops! not only has Customade done it again, so have a whole host of suppliers. And riddle me this – how does Real Aluminium Products Ltd, set up on November 28, get to buy REAL Aluminium and Atlas Roof Solutions on 19 December?
